settings urgent

Hello Mr. Michael, I want to know something
1.) will this app be installed by different users(companies) locally
2.) will tickets created by company A be seen by company B and vice versa.
3) or is spiceworks acting as a tickets datawarehouse for different companies.

Am just trying to avoid tickets id collission that may arise when Company A has a ticket id the same with company B

please tell us something

Thanks

    1.) Yes
    2.) No
3.) Every IT Pro that uses Spiceworks, installs their own copy on their local network. That copy of the Spiceworks Desktop is run locally, behind their firewall with its own database. The Tickets (and all other information we collect) are only stored in that local database and are not shared between different companies.

Maybe I misunderstood the question, which part is more difficult for you?

Great--I'm glad that cleared things up. If you are looking to uniquely identify a Spiceworks Desktop installation, have a look at our Login API: developers.spiceworks.com/documentation/cloud-apps/authentication/.

Using the Login API, you can uniquely identify both the currently logged in user and the current Spiceworks Desktop installation and you can verify that information with a Spiceworks server. Let me know if you have questions about how to accomplish that.
